These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Rajshahi Junior Programmers ("RJP") website and your participation in any RJP events, programs, or community activities. Please read them carefully before engaging with our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • By registering as a member, attending an event, or using the website of Rajshahi Junior Programmers ("RJP"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  • If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services or participate in our programs.
  • RJP reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.

2. Membership

  • Membership in RJP is open to students, graduates, and professionals with an interest in programming and technology based in or connected to Rajshahi.
  • Members are expected to provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
  • RJP reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership of any individual who violates these terms, engages in misconduct, or acts in a way that harms the community.
  • Membership does not guarantee participation in all events, as some programs may have limited capacity or eligibility requirements.

3. Code of Conduct

  • All members and event participants must treat others with respect, regardless of skill level, gender, background, religion, or ethnicity.
  • Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or any form of abusive behaviour — online or in-person — is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal.
  • Members must not share, plagiarize, or misrepresent another person's work as their own during any RJP event or program.
  • Constructive criticism is welcome; destructive or demeaning criticism is not.
  • Any conflict or concern should be reported to the RJP organizing team at jp.rajshahi24@gmail.com.

4. Event Participation

  • Event registration is confirmed only after completing the registration process and receiving a confirmation from RJP.
  • Participants must arrive on time and comply with the rules specific to each event (hackathon rules, workshop guidelines, etc.).
  • RJP reserves the right to disqualify participants who violate event rules, engage in dishonest practices, or disrupt the event.
  • Attendance at some events may require prior knowledge or skill prerequisites, which will be clearly stated in the event description.
  • RJP is not liable for any personal loss, injury, or damage occurring during events.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Projects and code created during RJP hackathons remain the intellectual property of the respective team members.
  • By participating in RJP events, you grant RJP a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to feature your project name, summary, and team photo in promotional materials and on the website.
  • All content on the RJP website — including logos, text, images, and design — is the property of RJP and may not be reproduced without written permission.

6. Media & Photography

  • RJP may photograph or record events for documentation and promotional purposes.
  • By attending an event, you consent to being photographed or recorded. If you do not consent, please inform the event organizer before the event begins.
  • RJP will not use your image in a misleading or defamatory manner.

7. Sponsorships & Donations

  • Sponsorships and donations made to RJP are used to fund community events, workshops, infrastructure, and member programs.
  • RJP does not guarantee specific outcomes or recognition in exchange for donations unless a formal sponsorship agreement has been signed.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • RJP and its organizers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in events or use of the website.
  • The website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. RJP does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to its digital services.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Bangladesh.
  • Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through mutual discussion. If unresolved, they may be escalated to the appropriate legal authority in Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
